What We Do

We turn testing from a scoreboard into a diagnosis.

Concept-Level Testing

Our tests are organised by concept, not merely by chapter. When you finish, you do not just see “Physics 64 percent” — you see exactly which ideas inside that chapter you solved and which ones were weak.

Chapter-Wise Practice

Study a chapter, test it immediately. No waiting for a monthly examination to discover that something went wrong six weeks ago. For JEE and NEET, students also practise old JEE and NEET questions for the same chapter.

Full-Length Mock Tests

Timed, exam-pattern papers that replicate real conditions — because knowing the syllabus and performing under a clock are two different skills. For JEE and NEET, students also practise one full-subject test based on old JEE and NEET questions.

Detailed Solutions

Every question comes with a worked explanation that starts from the basic concept, not from step four. If you got it wrong, you will understand why.

Performance Analytics

Accuracy per concept, time spent per question, and progress across attempts — clear data, presented simply, so you know precisely where to spend your next study hour.

One Method, Every Stage

The same core testing rigour from Class 6 foundation to Class 12 entrance preparation, with additional old JEE and NEET question practice for entrance exam students.

Our Testing Method — One method, every class

The way a chapter is tested does not change with age. Every student follows the same core testing journey, while JEE and NEET students also receive dedicated old JEE/NEET question practice.

Stage 1 — Chapter Testing

Two tests per chapter, fifteen questions each. The first finds the gap, the second confirms it has closed. Every chapter in the subject, without exception. For JEE and NEET, each chapter also includes one dedicated old JEE/NEET questions test.

Stage 2 — Mixed Chapter Testing

One mixed-chapter test combines concepts from multiple chapters. A new skill begins here: recognizing which concept a question belongs to before you can solve it.

Stage 3 — Full Subject Testing

One complete MeritUp subject test covers the full syllabus. For JEE and NEET, students also practise one full-subject test based on old JEE/NEET questions.

Stage 4 — Examination Pattern

Only this stage changes, and it changes according to where the student is headed (see table below).

Class Stage 4 pattern
6 to 8 School examination and olympiad format
9 to 10 Foundation-level entrance format
11 to 12 Exact JEE and NEET format
No question appears twice anywhere in the journey — which is what makes a MeritUp score worth trusting.

Why Choose MeritUp

Built by people who measure things professionally

Our work is in quantitative research, where a model is only as good as the testing behind it. We apply that same discipline to every question we write and every report we generate.

We test concepts, not memory

MeritUp concept tests are designed to measure understanding, not memorisation. A student who has memorised a formula without understanding the concept should still be challenged.

We tell you what is wrong, specifically

“Revise Thermodynamics” is not feedback. “You consistently misapply the sign convention in work done by a gas” is feedback. We aim for the second kind.

Every solution teaches from the basics

Our explanations do not assume you already understand. They begin from the underlying principle and build upward, so a wrong answer becomes a lesson instead of a dead end.

We complement your coaching, we do not replace it

You already have teachers and notes. What you do not have is an honest, objective check on whether it is working. That is the gap we fill.

Honest difficulty, built for every class

We do not inflate scores to make students feel good. Foundation students and rank-chasers need different things — our content is structured for each stage, and a MeritUp score is meant to be trusted, including when it is uncomfortable.
